What is an Urban Oracle?
|
The definition of an Oracle is as follows:
"Response delivered by a deity or supernatural being to a worshiper or inquirer; also the place where the response was delivered. The responses were considered to be given by divine inspiration manifested through the medium of human beings or sacred animals. Oracles were used by the Egyptians,Hebrews,Phoenicians,Babylonians and the Chaldeans. The most renowned Greek oracle was that of Apollo at Delphi." (Encarta)
Since that time, (the original temple at the site at Delphi was a Goddess temple), there have been oracular manifestations in every society and is the way in which those powerful archetypes of our Collective Whole can communicate with us. To me, the function of an Urban Oracle is to act as a liasion between worlds. I believe that we live in a time of "overloads" which creates confusion and chaos for even the strongest among us. What is needed is clarity and the re-uniting with the higher self. On the highest level the Oracle is a soul to soul communication process that provides contact with the divine part of ourselves and a re-uniting with what is rightfully ours. It is an experience unique to the individual. Your soul knows what needs to be shared with you. By developing an awareness of our spiritual origin we can resume our connection to Nature and the life of our planet. It is a healing process that reaches out to the Global Soul that will keep our spiritual hearts intact. The information is mediated though my higher self and requires a deep intuitive knowledge of energy and resonance. On occasion, not only are the Akashic Records opened to reveal the relationship between past and present but also, amazingly, how you relate to other Kingdoms of Nature. If you are in need of healing, "helpers" often intervene and provide great cleansing and unburdening of those things we no longer need. Insight can be gained into our daily lives and a heightened understanding of circumstances. You may be introduced to archetypal energies that you are a part of which can empower and give great insight into who you are and what you are a part of.
What about the consultation?
The session usually lasts about an hour and a half. The fee is on a sliding scale which is based on the level on energy used. (Usually, one dollar per minute). It is also possible to arrange a shorter session when you have an single question or issue that needs clarification. I have been assisting people for over 25 years. I do not feel that there is anything "New Age" about consulting an Oracle. This is an "Integral Phenomenon." Integral, in the sense that a new level of human consciousness has developed that is open, clear, present, non-judgemental and integrates all prior experiences of humanity.

Who is the Urban Oracle?
|
Jamie Miles began her spiritual journey at a very young age. Throughout her childhood she recieved gentle guidance and training in intuitive awareness. She attended Gateway Seminars in Kansas City,Missouri and recieved certification from the Esoteric Philosophy Center in Houston, Texas in 1983. In 1984 Jamie was guided to begin her work with the Devic-Angelic Kingdoms, which has resulted in a channeled work that offers a system of communication with the Devic-Angelic Kingdoms and the elements of nature through symbols, color and sound. For the next five years that information would be shared in classes,seminars and speaking engagements. In 1990 she returned to school to complete her education and in 1995 graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas with a BS in Applied Sociology. One week after graduating she began a pilgrimage that would last nearly two years. Points of interest included many European spiritual centers and the plains of southern England. Research was also done in several areas including: The work of Jean Gebser, Thealogy and Gothic Cathedrals. A year was also spent in the Northwestern region of the US including Victoria,BC and San Francisco,California. She has returned to Austin, Texas and looks forward to more adventures of the spirit and being of service to our Mother Earth and all her children.Remember the words inscribed over the entrance to the Temple of Delphi:
